IIRC, CF has good tensile strength, okay compressive strength, and poor shear strength. actually there has been carbon fiber wheels for cars long time ago you mostly see it in big car shows. Pretty inconvenient when hitting a pothole in the city at 20 MPH, but even scarier when hitting a bump at 90 MPH.Ģ.
